Know when a brand runs your video past your deal.

Klebz watches the brands you license your videos to in the public Meta and TikTok ad libraries, finds your videos inside their ads, and flags every day an ad runs outside your deal. Then you send a notice or a renewal offer in a few clicks.

What is Klebz?

Klebz is a web app for UGC creators and talent agencies that checks whether brands are running your videos in ads beyond what your deal allows: after the deal ended, in countries or on platforms it doesn't cover, or as paid ads when you only licensed organic posts.

You add the brands you've licensed videos to and the terms of each deal. Klebz reads those brands' ads from the public Meta Ad Library and TikTok's ad library, recognizes your videos inside them, and shows you every day an ad ran outside your deal, with the library record as evidence. Klebz does not give legal advice.

  • Public ad librariesReads the official Meta and TikTok ad libraries. Nothing to connect, no brand logins.
  • Picture and sound matchingTrimmed, captioned and re-cut versions of your video can still match. You confirm the uncertain ones.
  • Every day checkedEach day an ad ran is compared with your deal: dates, countries, platforms and paid use.

Who Klebz is for

Anyone who licenses videos to brands and wants to know when a license runs out but the ads don't.

UGC creators

You make videos for brands and license them for a set time, place and use. Klebz tells you when a brand keeps running one after the license ran out, so you can ask for a renewal fee.

  • Usage-rights deals with end dates
  • Organic-only or paid-ads licenses
  • Whitelisting, partnership ads and Spark Ads

Talent agencies and managers

You negotiate deals for several creators. Klebz keeps each creator's videos, brands and deals separate and shows overruns across your roster.

  • One profile per creator
  • Findings by brand and by deal
  • Notices and renewal offers from one place

Brands, on the receiving end

Brands don't need an account. They receive a factual notice or a renewal offer, and can accept, counter or decline it from a link.

How Klebz works, in three steps

Set it up once. After that, Klebz checks on its own and tells you when something needs you.

  1. Add your videos, brands and deals

Upload the videos you made for brands, find each brand's page in the Meta and TikTok ad libraries, and enter your deal terms from the contract, a CSV or a short form.

  2. Klebz checks every ad, every day

It reads each brand's ads from the libraries, finds your videos inside them by picture and sound, and compares every day an ad ran with what your deal allows.

  3. Act on what's flagged

Send the brand a factual notice, or a renewal offer they can accept from a link. Accepted terms become your new deal. Or mark it settled and move on.

What Klebz flags

Eight checks run on every ad that uses your video. Each finding names the deal term the ad goes past.

  1. R1Critical

    Deal ended

The brand kept running the ad after your deal ended.

  2. R2Critical

    Wrong country

The ad ran in a country your deal doesn't cover.

  3. R3Critical

    Paid use not allowed

Licensed for organic posts but run as an ad, or run from your account without whitelisting permission.

  4. R4High

    Wrong platform

Licensed for one platform and running on another, like a TikTok-only deal showing on Instagram.

  5. R5High

    Before the deal

The ad started running before your deal did.

  6. R6High

    No deal on file

A brand runs your video and you have no deal with that brand for it.

  7. R7Warning

    Deal ending soon

Your deal ends within 14 days and the ad is still running: the moment to offer a renewal.

  8. R8Warning

    Vague terms

Terms like “for the campaign” or no end date, which make an overrun hard to show.

What Klebz can and can't see

Klebz reports only what the public ad libraries record. Here is what that means in practice.

What the libraries show

  • Ads shown in the European Union during the last year, including ads that have already stopped.
  • The first and last day each ad was shown, and the EU countries it reached.
  • Where it ran: Facebook, Instagram and Meta's other placements, or TikTok.
  • Who ran the ad and, on Meta, who paid for it.
  • Partnership ads and Spark Ads run from your own account, once you add your own page.

What they don't show

  • How much a brand spent. Neither library publishes spend for regular commercial ads.
  • Ads shown only outside the EU. Klebz can't check ads that ran only in the US or elsewhere.
  • Brands you haven't added. The libraries are searched by advertiser, not by video.
  • Uses outside ads, like a brand's website, newsletters or TV.

Questions creators ask

What is Klebz?

Klebz is a web app that tells UGC creators and talent agencies when a brand runs their videos in ads beyond what the deal allows. It reads the public Meta and TikTok ad libraries, finds your videos inside the brands' ads, and flags each day an ad runs after the deal ended, in other countries, on other platforms or as an unlicensed paid ad.

How do I know if a brand is still using my UGC in ads?

Look the brand up in the Meta Ad Library and in TikTok's ad library, and scan its ads for your video. Each ad shows when it started running and, for ads shown in the EU, when it was last shown and which countries it reached. Compare those dates and countries with your deal.

Our step-by-step guide, how to check if a brand is still using your UGC in ads, shows where to click. Klebz does the same check for every brand you add, every day.

What are UGC usage rights?

Usage rights are the permission you give a brand to use a video you made: how it can be used (organic posts or paid ads), for how long, in which countries, on which platforms, and whether ads can run from your account. Unless your contract transfers ownership, you usually keep the copyright and the brand gets only the license you agreed to.

Read the full guide: UGC usage rights, explained for creators.

What is whitelisting, and what are Spark Ads?

Whitelisting means a brand runs paid ads through your social account, so the ad shows your name and handle instead of the brand's. On Meta this is done with partnership ads (or by giving the brand ad access to your account). On TikTok the equivalent is Spark Ads, which promote a post from your account using an authorization code you generate.

Because it uses your identity, whitelisting is usually licensed and priced separately from regular paid use. More in our guide to whitelisting, partnership ads and Spark Ads.

Can I see a brand's ads in the Meta Ad Library?

Yes. The Meta Ad Library is public and free to search. Look up the brand's page to see the ads it is currently running on Facebook, Instagram and Meta's other apps. For ads shown in the EU, the library also keeps ads after they stop, with their dates and reach by country. Spend is published only for ads about social issues, elections or politics.

Which ads can Klebz check?

Ads shown in the European Union during the last year, on Meta (Facebook, Instagram and Meta's other placements) and on TikTok, from the brands you add and from your own account. Ads that ran only outside the EU aren't kept in the libraries, so Klebz can't check them. Klebz reports days and countries, never spend, because the libraries don't publish it.

How does Klebz recognize my video if the brand edited it?

Klebz compares the picture and the sound of each ad with the videos you upload, so trimmed, captioned and re-cut versions can still match. Matches it isn't sure about are shown to you to confirm or reject.

Does Klebz contact brands for me?

No. Klebz never contacts a brand on its own. You decide whether to send a notice or a renewal offer, and you see it before it goes out. The brand can accept, counter or decline a renewal offer from a link, without creating an account.

Is Klebz legal advice?

No. Klebz shows what the public ad libraries record and compares it with the deal terms you enter. It doesn't tell you whether a brand broke the law or what you are owed. For a dispute, talk to a lawyer or your agency.
